Recommended Talents in the Screening List
Review AI-recommended talents in your Screening list with hidden names and locked CVs until they accept your job invitation.
Instaffo recommends talents for your active jobs. You’ll find these recommendations right in your Screening list, alongside applications for the same job. That means you can review every candidate for a job in one place. 🚀
Where to find recommendations
Select a Stelle and open the Screening tab.
A recommendation looks like an application row and is marked Empfehlung next to the name. Recommendations count toward your screening counter and your unseen count.
How recommendations differ from applications
A recommended talent hasn’t applied to your job. We suggested them to you. This means a few things work differently:
- The name is hidden. Instead of a name, you’ll see Name verborgen. The name becomes visible once the talent accepts your request.
- The CV and chat are locked. You’ll see Lebenslauf noch gesperrt and Chat noch gesperrt. They’ll stay that way while your request is open, not just before you send it.
- The talent hasn’t answered your screening questions yet. When you send the talent a request, the screening questions are sent automatically.
- The date shows when we recommended the talent, not when they applied. After you send a request, it shows how many days are left before it expires.
Everything else will look familiar: the same icons for Bedingungen, the same Standort column, and the same sections for Rahmenbedingungen passen and Nicht alle Rahmenbedingungen passen.
The detail view also includes a Match-Zusammenfassung. It explains why we recommended this talent for your job.
What you can do with a recommendation
There are two buttons in the panel on the right:
- Anfrage senden: Invite the talent to your job. They have 7 days to respond. If they accept, a regular application is created, their name becomes visible, and the chat opens. Until then, the Datum column shows your open request, for example Angefragt heute or Angefragt in 5 Tagen. Hover over it to see when the request expires.
- Passt nicht: The recommendation disappears from your Screening list.
For recommendations, the button is called Passt nicht, not Ablehnen. That’s intentional: the talent never applied for your job, so they won’t be notified of your decision.
If you like, you can give a reason when dismissing a recommendation. Your feedback helps us refine our search criteria and provide better recommendations in the future.
You can use the checkboxes on the left to select recommendations just like applications and process several at once.
Why a recommendation disappeared
A recommendation leaves your Screening list when:
- The talent applies directly. You’ll then see only the application. It will remain in your list even if your original request expires later.
- Your request doesn’t get a response. The talent declines, or the 7-day period expires.
- You dismiss it using Passt nicht.
- The talent is no longer available on Instaffo, for example because they paused their profile or set it to private.
Filters and search in the combined list
While recommendations are in your list, some filters can’t be applied. A recommendation isn’t an application yet, so it doesn’t have notes, answers, interviews, or labels for a filter to work with.
This affects text search, labels, archived items, open answers, requested feedback, unread notes, and upcoming interviews.
We let you know when these filters are affected instead of silently ignoring them. Otherwise, rows you wanted to hide could remain in your list without you noticing.
If you don’t see any recommendations
- Check that exactly one job is selected. The overview for multiple jobs shows applications only.
- The job must be active. We don’t recommend talents for inactive jobs.
- Not every job gets recommendations. The number we find depends on how many talents match your requirements.
Reviewing recommendations and applications in one place saves you time: fewer tabs, one decision per talent, and an overview that really shows all the candidates who match your job. 🙌
