Why is my job automatically deactivated?

Automatic job hiding makes sure that you only receive as many applications as you can actually handle, adjusted to match your response speed. This keeps your application process organized, candidates get feedback quickly, and you're guaranteed to deliver a consistently positive candidate experience.

When does a job get automatically hidden?

If too many applications remain unreviewed and your response times get too long, we'll automatically hide your job. You can check your average response time on the Dashboard.

As soon as you start responding actively again, the job can be reactivated in your application overview. Before a job gets deactivated, you'll also receive a warning email so you can take action early on.

💡 Note:
Your average response time is calculated across all your company's active jobs (last 30 days, weekdays only).
If you respond quickly (under 3 days on average), auto-hide won't kick in, even if you've got a lot of unreviewed applications piling up.

When is an application considered "reviewed"?

As long as an application stays in the "Application received" status (screening), it counts as unreviewed. An application is considered reviewed once its status changes to:

  • Shortlist
  • First interview
  • Second interview
  • Offer
  • Hired
  • Rejected

💬 A chat message alone isn't enough.
Only a change to a different application status counts as "reviewed".

🔮 What changes with the new "Accept application" feature?

Nothing, the logic stays the same.
Even though applications will need to be "accepted" first going forward, an application only counts as reviewed once you change its status.
